The Abbey complex consists of the Nieuwe Kerk, the Wandelkerk, the Koorkerk, the Zeeuws Museum and the Abbey Tower: the "Lange Jan."
The middle section of the abbey churches is the so-called "Wandelkerk."
Looking at the vaulting, it is striking that it forms one architectural whole with the Choir Church. A 20th-century organ was built on the intermediate dock. The Walking Church was originally the middle choir visible to parishioners from the New Church. The Choir Church itself, as the high choir, was intended only for the monks.
In the Wandelkerk there is, among other things, the mausoleum of the Evertsen brothers, Lieutenant Admirals of Zeeland, both killed in 1666 during the four-day naval battle against the English.
A memorial plaque for Abdoel Hamid, envoy of Aceh to Prince Maurits, is also located in the Wandelkerk.
