As a walking enthusiast you will certainly get your money's worth in Middelburg and its surroundings. There are numerous hiking routes, ranging from short and relaxing walks to challenging trips through dunes and woods. To determine your route, you use the walking junction system. Tour of Walcheren

If you feel like a hefty bike ride, the Rondje Walcheren is a good option. From Middelburg to Veere, Vrouwenpolder, Oostkapelle, Domburg, Westkapelle, Zoutelande, Vlissingen and back again. A whole round is about 60 kilometers long. Along the way, you can pause atop the dunes or cool off with a refreshing dip in the sea.

In addition to our guided city walks, you can of course take a city walk on your own. In bookstore the Drvkkery there are several thematic walking books for sale. If you are interested in modern architecture, or prefer to walk along the green bastions or want to see the most important monuments; there is bound to be something for you and of course we are happy to advise you! The walks last about an hour to an hour and a half.
