Seismolen

The Seismolen is a former corn mill at the Seisbolwerk in Middelburg. The monument was built in 1728, making it the oldest surviving mill in Middelburg.

After a severe storm in November 1940 and subsequent neglect, the mill fell into disrepair. Starting in 1955, when the mill became the property of the municipality, the masonry was restored. Only after a restoration in 2000-2001 did the mill become grinding capable again.
