Park Toorenvliedt

In the park are several World War II bunkers, still largely intact. Attached to the bunkers are large steel plates provided with inspiring lines of poetry by Henri Looymans. A must for children is a treasure hunt where they have to search for letters in the poems. Together, these letters form a word. There are also all kinds of playground equipment, such as slides and a zip line. In a former communications bunker, work is underway to renovate the bunker's interior so that it can then open to the public. Visit bunkerbehoud.com for more information.
