Helm

The square behind the town hall owes its name to the inn that used to stand here. In the year 1562, "The Helm" was leased for the sum of 40 guilders a year. Today, the outdoor public lecture hall of University College Roosevelt (UCR) graces the square. Here the effigies of Franklin Delano and Eleanor Roosevelt, for whom the college is named, are immortalized in stone.
