Atelier Sandra van der Meulen

In a narrow picturesque street in downtown Middelburg, is the studio of Sandra van der Meulen. The studio is housed in a former warehouse. The atmospheric authentic space with its high beamed ceiling and rough walls forms a beautiful ensemble with van der Meulen's abstract work.

Characteristic of this work is the use of a mixed technique. Collage, and printing techniques are combined with rice paper, ink, acrylic and sometimes found materials. Texts and signs are a recurring element in the work; they are an essential part of the content and composition. You will find large format and small format work, on canvas and on paper.
