Wild Bloom
Wild Bloom,an ode to the hysterical woman. In this tragicomic, musical andover-the-top one-woman show, Valentina explores the limits and clichés of the image of women in our society.
With a mix of opera, theater, musical, cabaret, classical music and comedy, she introduces several hysterical women: a murderous victim of the allowance affair, a body positive K3 starlet and the Queen of the Night, among others, pass in review, to finally end up with Valentina herself.
Armed with a hefty dose of musicality, humor, quick shifts and great characters, Wild Bloom keeps her audience under wraps and, hopefully, elicits a little sympathy. Or alienation. Also good.
Valentina Tóth won both the jury and audience award of the Amsterdams Kleinkunst Festival in 2022. After 'rising star' Valentina Tóth was named the Comedy Talent of 2023 by the Volkskrant, her first full-length performance Wildbloei was awarded a five-star review by both the NRC and the Volkskrant.
