The Trumpeter of Auschwitz

This is the moving story of Lex van Weren, a Holocaust survivor who survived the Auschwitz death camp thanks to his trumpet playing. The story emphasizes the importance of remembrance and continuing to tell about the horrors of World War II. Author Dick Walda convinced Van Weren to share his experiences, resulting in a shocking and emotional account. The play, based on Walda's book and adapted for theater by Allard Blom, shows the power of human resilience in the midst of darkness. Actors Thomas Cammaert and Soy Kroon, directed by Eddy Habbema, bring this intimate story to life.
