On Sunday, December 1, together with storyteller Johannes, you can experience the history of Middelburg. During the StoryTrail Theater Walk, he will tell you the most beautiful stories from the city's history.

Hold on tight! Johannes will take you centuries back in time. Who you will certainly encounter there is Jacob Roggeveen, the notary from Lange Noordstraat. He sailed out of the sea to explore the Zuidland, but found something completely different. Johannes will tell you about his adventures at sea.

But that's not all, because you will meet many more heroes and villains from the city's history. Count William the Second, for example, who almost became emperor, but not quite. Jacob Cats, the folk poet who, among other things, has the maxim "Children are Obstructions" to his name. The legendary Maneblussers. And Zacharias Janse, the poor eyeglass-grinder who became filthy rich.
