Annual open house of the Zeeuws Archief
On Saturday, November 2, 2024, the Zeeland Archives will host its annual Open Day. In the commemorative year in which we celebrate eighty years of freedom, the Open Day is entirely devoted to the liberation of Zeeland.
After the liberation, Zeeland is in ruins. Civilians are traumatized, the roles between right and wrong are suddenly reversed. At the same time, Zeeland is being rebuilt and plans are being made that have shaped the Zeeland of today. During this day you will have the chance to take a look inside the underground depots of the Zeeuws Archief. There are also fascinating lectures and guided tours through the inner city of Middelburg. The day traditionally concludes with the Friends' Lecture.
