Poetry makes itself heard during the Middelburg Art and Culture route
On Sunday, November 3, the Middelburg Art and Culture route and The Beatyard invite you at 4 p.m. for an unforgettable afternoon of poetry and music in the new cultural center 'de Engelse kerk' as part of the Poetry theme week.
During this special event, words and sounds come together in a unique collaboration between five writers and five producers, who perform their joint creations live. Get carried away by the poetic and musical magic of extraordinary duos. With the cooperation of city poet Michael van Oostende. Entrance is free.
This is also the case at Cultuurhuis Kuiperspoort where thoughts and poems are interwoven with ceramic works. How this goes together beautifully will be explained during readings at 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.
At SmithArt on Singelstraat there is a concert by Flemish Charlotte Schoeters at 4 p.m. Discover this young theater-opera artist.
No free admission but also well worth a visit are the various museums in downtown Middelburg. Think of the Zeeuws Museum on Abdijplein, Vleeshal on Markt, Sjakie's Chocolate Museum on Vlasmarkt and the Etty Hillesum House on Molenwater. All museums are part of the art tour.
