This excursion is organized by VogelwerkgroepWalcheren and the Polderhuis in Westkapelle.
During the walking excursion (approximately 2 hours) an experienced guide will take you to the nature reserve Sint Laurense Weihoek, one of the most bird-rich areas located between Grijpskerke, Middelburg and Sint Laurens which is under the management of the Zeeuws Landschap Foundation. This nature reserve is a stopping place for migrating birds on their way north/south. Besides the regular birds a rare species is spotted here, in the winter that could be the beautiful Red-necked Goose.
Age: 6 years and older.
Disabled persons are welcome (the distance is about 2.5 km).
Dogs are not allowed.
Needs: binoculars, windproof jacket and good walking shoes (boots in wet weather).
The excursion will continue under almost all conditions (minimum 4 people). If the weather forecast is very bad and the excursion can not take place, you will receive at least 1 day's notice by mail from Polderhuis Westkapelle.
